Budding actors have the chance to tread the boards with the county's Youth Theatre.

Auditions are being held for Hertfordshire County Youth Theatre's October production of Tom Stoppard's Dogg's Hamlet Cahoot's Macbeth at Watford Palace Theatre.

A number of schools across the county are holding open auditions for youngsters to have the chance to perform in these classic plays.

There will be auditions at Watford Palace Theatre on Saturday, June 14, from 3.30pm to 5.30pm and another at Hemel Hempstead School, on Friday, June 20, from 4pm to 6pm.

There will also be auditions in schools outside Dacorum.

The auditions are open to any student aged between 13 and 18 years old, who are currently attending a Hertfordshire County Council school.

Places at the auditions are limited so you need to book your place by calling Watford Palace Theatre on 01923 810307 or email learning@watfordpalacetheatre.co.uk

The performance will take place between June 9 and 20 at the theatre on October 31 and November 1.
