Use map to buy local food

A food group has created a map to show shoppers where they can purchase local produce.

Produced by the Dacorum Local Food Initiative, it pinpoints allotments, farmers shops, markets, restaurants and other sellers.

The group, which was formed in February last year, aims to promote all aspects of food in Dacorum.

Its members will host a food initiative workshop at Ashridge Business School on Saturday, February 25, from 10am to 4pm.

There will be guest speakers and various updates about projects already underway including The Hemel Food Garden - a community scheme to grow fruit and vegetables on an unused patch of land.
