Nurses from six different hospices had the honour of drawing the winning tickets in the Hospice Lottery Partnerships’s annual Superdraw.
A celebrity guest usually picks the winners, but this year hard-working nurses were given the special job on Wednesday.
There was a top prize of £7,000 up for grabs, along with 18 other cash prizes ranging from £50 to £1,000.
The top winner was a woman from Bourne End who supports the Iain Rennie Grove House Hospice.
Last year, the Superdraw raked in £90,000 for good causes in the partnership, which are Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity, Iain Rennie Grove House, The Hospice of St Francis, Thames Hospicecare, Obell House and South Bucks Hospice.
The partnership also hosts a weekly lottery, with prizes from £10 to £1,000 up for grabs. Tickets cost £1.
