I have employed a genealogical researcher in an endeavour to locate my half-sister Mrs Joan Fortune. Unfortunately he has proved unsuccessful, but has suggested that through your publication there could be some hope that a reader may have remained in touch with the family after they left the last addresses which we have. My half-sister before she married was Miss Joan Bird. Mr Eric Fortune was an electrician. The marriage produced two sons, Roger and Brian. The first address was The Holt, Adeyfield, Hemel Hempstead. The second address was 53-55 Bridge Street, Firm, Hemel Hempstead. The last address was 29 Longdean Park, Hemel Hempstead. I have reason to believe that after leaving this last address they moved in the Whipsnade area. If there is any way in which you can help me to locate any of the family I would be most grateful. Hi there It would be great to find Gillian Ansell before her special birthday on November 30. She lived at Ashridge and we went to Little Gaddesden school until 1958.
