Location: The Wendover Arm of the Grand Union Canal.
What they do:
The group works to restore the canal and is currently working between Little Tring and Drayton Beauchamp.
Who it helps:
Members have already restored a one quarter mile section which is now in water and navigable for full length narrow boats.
Facts:
The Trust was formed in 1989 and has around 500 members.
Most months restoration activity is arranged over five-day working parties.
One of the trust's main fundraising activities is the Tring Canal Festival which will be staged over three days this year from Saturday, May 23, to Monday, May 25, at Little Tring.
In addition to dozens of colourful narrowboats there will be craft stalls, displays, fun fair and bars, plus an opportunity to view restoration activity at Drayton Beauchamp.
