The Adam Dealey Foundation
Location: The foundation was launched in Boxmoor, Hemel Hempstead, while it's partner organisation, the Bone Cancer Research Trust, is based in Leeds.
What they do:
The foundation seeks to raise public awareness of a rare bone cancer called Ewing Sarcoma.
Who it helps:
The charity works to increase the number of patients that are diagnosed early enough for treatment. It also supports families of people living with the disease both financially and emotionally.
Facts:
The Adam Dealey Foundation was launched by the parents of a 10 year old Hemel Hempstead boy who lost his life to the disease in 1995.
It works in partnership with the Bone Cancer Research Trust, of which Adam's father, John Dealey, is deputy chairman.
How you can help:
The charity is always grateful of cash donations or items to sell via its online auction site.
Fundraising football tournaments are held in Hemel Hempstead in Adam's name and the foundation hosts an annual golf day. If you would like to be involved with these events please contact John Dealey using the details below.
