Its priority areas for grantmaking are disadvantaged children and families, developing young people, access to education, training and employment and the quality of life of older people.
Facts:
Each year the foundation helps organise the High Sheriff's Crimebeat Awards which give cash prizes to a range of groups and organisations.
Previous winners from Hemel Hempstead include the Social Organisation for Community Arts (SOCA) and Druglink.
The foundation produces a range of publications including leaflets for potential grant recipients and donors and a regular newsletter.
