Volunteers needed to assist with first aid
First aid help at public events has long been provided by the British Red Cross and its Hemel Hempstead organisation wants to recruit volunteers, who will be given the training to do the job.
Public events are attended in Dacorum and Kings Langley, mostly in the evenings and at weekends.
Qualifications include first aid, medical or hospital experience, and generally a caring attitude.
The branch is also looking for medical loan assistants who help disabled people to become mobile and put them and their relatives at
ease.
They issue medical aids such as wheelchairs and walking aids and other equipment to the public.
Help is needed for a couple of hours on various days and evenings.
