Lily Lakey : Obituary

LILY LAKEY 19.1.1919 - 6.2.2012 Recently of Hobletts Road, Adeyfield, died peacefully Aged 93 at Hatfield Nursing Home. Our dear Mum had 88 amazing years before dementia started to take its toll. She will be remembered as a Mum who always worked so hard for her family, who adored her bus inspector husband, Wally, and whose pastry can never be repeated. She was the only Cook in charge at Greenhills JMI and was well remembered as the best School dinners Cook in the town by all the record number of pupils who took school dinners. Dear Mum is now finally at rest, united with Dad and we are so thankful for the love and care she gave to all her family, and even till the end, her wonderful smile. Thank you to the wonderful Staff at Hatfield Nursing Home for their love and care of Mum. Family flowers only please. (J.WORLEY)
