At this month's Spring Workshop members of the Stoneycroft Flower Club and visitors had an opportunity to try their hand at flower arranging.

Although we have some very experienced flower arrangers among our members, the rest of us are mere novices and there is no doubt that demonstrators make it look a lot easier than it is. However, with a great deal of concentration and expert advice fr
om our demonstrator, Lynne Glover, who has completed a number of City & Guilds courses, we all managed to complete a horizontal arrangement with varying degrees of success and considerable enjoyment.

This is a busy month for Stoneycroft Flower Club as we are preparing for the club's Open Evening to be held at Boxmoor Playhouse on April 23 at 7.30pm. We are looking forward to welcoming Tan Strong, who will be demonstrating 'All That Glistens'. As well as being a National Demonstrator, Tan is an Area Judge, an Area Speaker and a Teacher who runs classes and workshops and has demonstrated at The Chelsea Flower Show on two occasions. With a raffle, stalls and refreshments, it promises to be a very entertaining evening. Tickets costing £10 are available on the door or can be reserved by contacting Christine Linton on 01442 251986.
