The club held its AGM on April 23 during the Tuesday club evening at Potten End Village Hall.

President Ros Crawford thanked the club members and the committee members for their support during the year. It has been a successful year for the club and membership has reached the highest level for more than a decade.

Jane Rose has continued t
o run the Beginners' classes for the first half of each Tuesday club evening. Classes for Intermediate and Advanced dancers have continued throughout the year on Monday evenings run by a team of qualified teachers.

Club events: Spring Dance in May, Garden Dances over the summer, Hallowe'en Dance, Burns' Night and the highlight of the Highland Ball in February had been well supported.

Treasurer Ken Halse was therefore pleased to report that the club finances were healthy.

Vice-president Anthony Gottleib was commended on his running of the club website www.berkhamstedreelclub.org which attracts considerable interest.

Stuart Anderson had written a special dance, 'Mr and Mrs Crawford' with music composed by Ken Martlew to honour the president and her husband for their commitment to the club over many years. This graceful Strathspey was demonstrated by eight dancers before club members had the opportunity to dance it themselves.|
