Joint president Joy Lovell welcomed us to our May meeting and was pleased we were joined by four new members and a visitor.

Together with secretary Janet Mitchell she took us through business matters and reported on county and group meetings they had attended during the last month.

Being May it was our resolutions 2008 meeting which was taken by county visitor Jackie Walker.

The resolutions being as follows: 1. Ban on bottom trawling for fish; 2. inappropriate imprisonment of the severely mentally ill.

Both of these resolutions were explained to us by Jackie Walker and thoroughly discussed by us. A vote of thanks was given by Judith Lowther.

During teatime we enjoyed two quizzes and the raffle was drawn.

Our next meeting will be on June 6 at the Court House, Berkhamsted at 2pm.

Our speaker will be Louise Reed. Why not come and join us?
