Police are clamping down on graffiti in Berkhamsted following an increase in reported incidents in the town.

Sergeant Peter Huffer said: "We are looking to cut graffiti in Berkhamsted and just last weekend two teenagers were arrested. One of the youths has been charged with criminal damage and is awaiting court. The other was released.

"We have worked closely with the council who have removed a lot of graffiti. If anybody sees this as it is happening please phone the Safer Neighbourhood team on 01442 271143."

He added that graffiti was on the increase but said it was one the local policing team's priorities in the town.
