The Wimpy Bar/DoT offices

The Wimpy Bar in the centre of Marlowes was a popular haunt for many in the 60s and 70s.

It was so popular that a big campaign was mounted in the 1970s when it was proposed to turn it into a betting shop.

It finally fell to the demolition men in the 80s

Also in the picture is the DoT office block. Structural problems were found and it was demolished in the 1980s
