Daleks 2
Dr Who Dalek visitors to Hemel Hempstead 1964 (part2)

The two Daleks at the party
The two Daleks at the party
WE have now found the original negatives of the visit by two Daleks to Hemel Hempstead in 1964 - they appear below.

Gavin Rymill who is researching the Daleks originally contacted us last week after spotting a picture in this website's local history section of one of the Daleks and believed it to be one of the original 'true' Daleks.

Having now seen full size pictures he tells us: " One of the two Daleks featured in the pictures was built for the original Dalek serial called The Daleks in 1963 and it appears in these pictures slightly refurbished and with a silver eye-ball that was added later.

"The other prop was built in 1964 for the second ever Dalek serial called The Dalek Invasion of Earth. This one has a black eye-ball a few little quirks, such as bunched up eye-rings. "

They are really nice shots of two of the original six props, one of which is one of the original batch of four.

What we want now id more information. Were you at that Access Equipment Christmas Party in 1964? It was held in Adeyfield Hall. How did the Daleks get invited to the party?
