IN 1918 Two Waters Mill exploded, wrecking several of the cottages in Two Waters Road. Nobody was killed

Just along the road in Two Waters was Baldersons Wharf where barges unloaded coal, wines and spirits. Today it's the B&Q store!

This is a 1920s shot of workers leaving Apsley Mills and, pictured right is the chimney for Kents Brushes. The firm is still in Apsley in modern premises by the entrance to Wickes
