Dacorum clubs hit the road for Imperial Winter Series action
Both Hemel Hempstead and Berkhamsted have seen some great success in the road racing series, starting out in Round 6 with Andy Fleet of HHCC taking his first win in the category 4 race.
Fleet then demonstrated his form again by finishing third in Round 7 – securing enough points to move up into the category 3 race classification for the forthcoming season.

Hide AdRobert Abbey, also of Hemel Hempstead, secured sixth place.
Round 8 of the series saw Berkhamsted emulate their neighbouring club, with rider Nick Clarke most prominent in the category 4 men’s race.
However, unlike previous weeks where a dominant rider made a move stick, it wasn’t until the last 400m that 17-year-old Josh Curtis – also of Berkhamsted Cycling Club – surged ahead and held off the stampede behind to win his first race.
Abbey once again showed good form as he finished in ninth place
